The Electric VLSI Design System is open source, and is available for download, free of charge.

Users of the older, "C" version of Electric can also purchase installers for Windows and Macintosh systems.

Documentation is available for Electric. This includes a User's Manual, source-code documentation, and a textbook on CAD tools.
